[01|05|10 2:37pm] elffingqueen ORANGE DAYS ☆☆☆☆☆ starring Tsumabuki Satoshi, Shibasaki Kou, Narimiya Hiroki, Eita... summary: Kai (Tsumabuki Satoshi) is having a hard time deciding on his future. He wants to help people and put his psychology studies to use but it seems difficult. Then, he rans into deaf Sae (Shibasaki Kou) who slowly turns his life upside-down. With his loud and colorful friends, the Orange Society, Kai starts enjoying the little what is left of his days in university. Rii says: Orange Days is not noisy, what appealed to me immediately. It's a mature depiction of the hardships young people have to face when finally graduating. The drama has wonderful, credible characters that taste like real life. And hello new drama OTP! Shohei x Akane = ♥ <--added that in the dorama reviews pt2. L-Z I love having a break from school :D Even though my new apartment is a mess (I have a thousand boxes to unpack), I feel quite relaxed. I've been watching Beethoven Virus the past few days and man, this is exactly the type of Korean drama I enjoy^o^ I'm happy I decided to pick this one right after You're Beautiful. If I had chosen another drama, something with wangst and angst, I would've felt disappointed with the Korean genre again and continued watching Japanese doramas until "new YAB" would've come along. Now I feel very enthusiastic and I'll dive into the Korean dramas with new, more optimistic eyes :) I've finished only three K-dramas (YAB, Coffee Prince and One Fine Day), left several halfway through (Goong, Shining Inheritance) and there're some on some sort of hiatus. I love it how in Korean dramas characters have time to evolve and there's more development in the relationships but sometimes, the atmosphere thends to get quite heavy and there's too much crying and whining and whatnot. I like that kind of shows when they're properly made and balanced with some good humor and charismatic leading actors. However, often that is not the case (I still cannot understand why everybody's so head over heels in love with Shining Inheritance :o) and thus what I have downloaded has mainly been Japanese. I was doing some research on Don Rosa's comic collection books released in Finland and ran into this in Wikipedia: "On strike During early summer 2002, Don Rosa suddenly laid down work. As an artist he could not live under the conditions Egmont was offering him, but he did not want to give up making Scrooge McDuck comics either. So his only choice was to put down work for a while and try to come to an agreement with Egmont. His main issues were that he had no control over his works. Don had discovered far too often that his stories were printed with incorrect pages of art, improper colors, poor lettering, or pixelated computer conversions of the illustrations. Another matter was that his name was used in promotion of books and collections of stories without his agreement and without sending royalties to him. He came to an agreement with Egmont in December of the same year, which gave him a bit more control over the stories and the manner in which they were publicized. I was a small child when I first got my hands on Donald Duck magazines, and even though I didn't know how to read, I devoured the pages, admiring the slapstick comedy and exotic adventures. Years later, when I had learnt to read and I had grown to understand a little of the complexity of Disney world, I came to realize that there were two artists whose stories had always, always entertained me, no matter what my age was: Carl Barks and Don Rosa. Don Rosa is a great man pop culture wisely. He's like... Quentin Tarantino of Disney. He has amazing knowledge on old movies and he combines elements of the things he enjoys in his comics just like Tarantino does, or how George Lucas used to. And what is more, Rosa spends hours and hours studying history to represent the historical events he uses as his material as meticulously as possible. Don Rosa's "A Letter From Home" was the first and only comic that has ever made me weep like a baby. It's an incredibly intense, beautifully drawn story about Unca Scrooge returning to Scotland and hs union with his sister. It was bold Disney wisely (but hey, nothing new, it was Don Rosa who decided to show the death of Scrooge's father in one of the chapters of The Life and Times of Scrooge McDuck). I've admired Rosa for his deep passion and devotion to the world of ducks. He... He's a fanboy who ended up working with the thing he used to love the most when he was a child. I thought I knew my ducks but apparently I didn't. He has retired? He has retired partly because some idiots haven't appreciated his hard work? I'm PISSED OFF. Carl Barks kept writing till his death. Rosa has, I'm sure of it, many successful, creative ideas in stock. It's sad and frustrating to see he's not able to execute them. Hopefully, someday, he returns to work. Katottiin ööö Lady in the water- leffa, ja vähän aikaa Romeon on kuoltava, mutta se oli niin huono, ettei pystynyt. Oon oikeesti jyrsijä. Ammuttiin raketteja, ei oltu maassa kun vuosi vaihtui. Btw, vuoden ensimmäinen biisi tulee tässä: Tapoin myös ensimmäisen tunnin aikana muutaman aivosolun lukemalla Fruits Baskettia. (mut siinä on Shigure ja sen päähenkilön kaveri) Kävästiin aamulla ulkona, ja mä menin mun yöpaidassa ja saappaissa. 8D (yöpaita= t-paita ja shortsit) No oli mulla takki, muttei kylmä! Koska äitille jäi tämän takia "ylimääräistä" rahaa, (itselleen äiti hankki kolmet lasit) niin me suunnattiin Seppälän alennusmyyntiin: Kynsilakka ja uusi Hello Kitty- huulirasva Jollyn syömän tilalle. Pitkähihainen oli oma löytö, yöpaidat äiti halusi ostaa ihan ite. 8))) Uudet farkut. *-* Ai että tuli tarpeeseen! Aika perus joo, mutta noi taskut on kivat. ♥ Menin myös pitkästä aikaa Minnalle yöksi (ja huomenna Elalle >:D)! Raise your hand if you hate moving. [12|28|09 1:36pm] elffingqueen [ music | C.N. Blue -Wanna Be Like U ] Uh uh oh. A guy from the moving company dropped by half an hour ago. He brought me some rent boxes to stuff my things into. However, since this is a small apartment and there's a lot of stuff, and I'm currently in the midst of packing, he barely fit through the door with the boxes. Ha. After he had left, I noticed that the communicating door (? the door that's between the apartment and the front door) had broken; the lower hinge had slipped from its place. But because this is an old-ish building, built somewhere around the 20's, the hinge is a little odd because it has only one hole for screws, and the hole's shape is funny and argh. Anyway, now the whole hinge is attached ONLY to the doorpost. I called to the maintenance company of the building but they're really busy because of the heavy snowing that has been going on for a few days now, and they said they could make it next week. I NEED HELP NAO. Because if the door stays like that for a long time, the upper hinge will break too, and then I'll need a new door, and HEY, that's EXPENSIVE. I whined about it for my while and they suggested I should find a locksmith to check it out. Apparently they do all sorts of door-related maintenance jobs. Okay. I called to four different locksmith companies but surprise, they were busy as hell as well. With the fifth call I found someone who had time -and apparently interest too, because he sounded pretty curious about the whole incident. So, he's coming after he has finished his lunch. Praise the Lord. (I have no intention whatsoever to tell the actual resident about this mess. This is embarrassing. Also, I didn't call the administrator of the condominium because I never contacted them when I moved in. This apartment belongs to our students' union and I have a lease with them. Soooo... The administrator doesn't even know I live here ^^;; Whoopsie daisy. So the administrator would start asking questions and he'd call the resident and then... I don't know. I guess he can't give me a fine or anything, but... I guess I'd be in some sort of trouble anyway.) Anyway. I hope the lock guy can fix the door quickly. Comment? | Edit

Tänä vuonna tein ehkä rumimman piparkakkutalon ikinä, mutta siitä piti tulla räjähtänyt Overlook. Äiti ei oikein tykännyt, niin se yritti parhaansa mukaan korjata mun aiheuttamat vahingot. 8D Loppujen lopuksi kukaan ei jaksanut koristella kunnolla, joten nyt se on... Tommonen. Käytiin illalla hautausmaalla, huu. >:D Vähän idioottia kyllä ottaa kuvia hautausmaalla, mutta toi oli niin pelottava....! Vein kans muuten kynttilän jonkun ihan tuntemattoman haudalle, koska siinä ei ollut yhtään kynttilää. :< Mun joululahja edesmenneelle. Tältä mein olkkari näytti lahjojen avaamisen jälkeen, köh. Ja tietysti kaikkia kiinostaa kilometri postaus siitä, mitä sain tänä vuonna joulupukilta! Uusi kännykkä, tästä oli kyllä sovittu jo etukäteen. *u* En vain ollut 100% varma, saisinko juuri tämän mallin, jota olin pyytänyt. ♥ Oon ihan koukussa the Sims DJ peliin, vaikka pelasin sen jo eilen läpi, pöh.
